What is the ruling on preventing one's brother from going to the mosque in order to send him to shops or to wash the car?

It is not permissible for a brother to prevent his brother from going to the mosque, nor is it permissible to obey him in that. He should fear Allah Almighty concerning him. It is more befitting for him to be the guide and mentor, encouraging him to pray in the mosque and attend lessons, and then after that, he can command him in other matters.
