What are the hadiths narrated by Al-Bukhari or Muslim in whose chain of transmission Isma'il ibn Abi Uways is found, and are they authentic, and what is the scholarly opinion regarding him?

Ismail ibn Abi Uways is trustworthy, though he made errors in hadith from his memory. Some scholars spoke critically of him, and An-Nasa'i deemed him weak. However, the two Shaykhs, Al-Bukhari and Muslim, narrated from him in their Sahih collections. Al-Bukhari did not transmit from him anything that he narrated uniquely except for two hadiths, and Muslim narrated six hadiths from him, all of which have corroborating narrations, and he did not solely narrate any hadith from him. Al-Bukhari only selected what was sound from Ismail's original sources. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar and Adh-Dhahabi consider his hadith to rise to the level of hasan (good), and the two Shaykhs cite him as evidence in corroborating narrations and supporting testimonies.
