Is it permissible to cancel a program designed with ill-gotten money and redesign it with Halal money, with prior knowledge of its success and ability to generate significant profits?

If you used ill-gotten money to design a program, you are not required to delete it and redesign it. Rather, you must dispose of the amount of the ill-gotten principal, and the subsequent profits are lawful for you. However, if the money was stolen or usurped from others, you must return the stolen principal to them, in addition to half of the program's current value and half of the profits. If you do not know the owners of the stolen or usurped money, then give that amount in charity on their behalf.
