The answer

The hadiths in the Two Sahihs (Bukhari and Muslim) with continuous chains of transmission are authentic, and the Ummah has accepted them. Hufadh ( حافظ — scholars of ) like Ibn Hajar and Al-Nawawi have refuted those who criticized them. As for the hadith about musical instruments (al-ma'azif), Ibn Hazm weakened it because he mistakenly thought it was mu'allaq (معلق - suspended/disconnected). However, Ibn al-, Al-Iraqi, Ibn Hajar, and Al-Albani refuted him, confirming its authenticity and stating that it came with a connected chain from a path other than that of Al-Bukhari. Furthermore, many hadiths have been authentically established that indicate the prohibition of singing.
