The answer

If the blood exceeds 15 days, then the woman is in a state of (non-menstrual bleeding) and must follow the rulings pertaining to a woman in istihadah. However, if it does not exceed 15 days, then all of it is considered menses, even if its color changes or it exceeds her usual period. Since the minimum period of purity (tuhur) in our view is 13 days, any blood that appears before 13 days of purity have passed is considered istihadah blood. In such a case, the woman must pray, fast, and perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun.
