Why was Abyar Ali named by this name?

Naming Dhu al-Hulayfah as Bir Ali or Abar Ali originated from common folk or the Rafidah, due to their claim that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) fought jinn there. This has no basis; Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) did not fight anyone among the jinn, neither in this place nor elsewhere, nor did any of the other Companions.
