Are dreams before dawn from God and do they come true, while those after it are from Satan and do not come true?

What a person sees in their sleep falls into three categories: a righteous vision from Allah, a disturbing dream from Shaytan, and self-talk stemming from what concerns the sleeper. A vision does not differ based on its time (night or day), but rather is determined by its characteristics. Al-Bukhari narrated from Ibn Sirin that a daytime vision is like a nighttime vision, citing the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) vision of his Ummah raiding the sea, which occurred during his midday nap. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said: "There is no difference in the ruling of interpretation between a vision of the night and a vision of the day, nor between visions of women and men." If the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to ask his Companions after the Fajr prayer, "Who among you saw a vision last night?" it is because night is the predominant time for sleep and visions.
