A witness is not permitted to lie or swear a false oath, for uttering falsehoods and bearing false witness are grave sins. If the employee has a right, he should inform the judiciary of the truth. It is not permissible for him to lie or deceive in order to obtain what is not rightfully his. Just as the company is not allowed to oppress him, he is not allowed to seize its money unlawfully. A judge's ruling does not make lawful what is unlawful, and whoever wishes to bear witness should bear witness only to what he knows.
