Is the Prophet Daniel mentioned in the Holy Qur'an, or does he have another name in it?

Daniel, peace be upon him, was a prophet from among the Children of Israel. It is said that he was a contemporary of King Nebuchadnezzar, who enslaved the Children of Israel and destroyed Jerusalem. It is well-known that the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, found his grave during the conquest of Tustar. Umar ibn al-Khattab then ordered that his grave be concealed, fearing that people might turn it into a place of worship.

Narrations mention that he was cast into a pit with two lions, but they did him no harm, and that Allah sent him food and drink through the Prophet Jeremiah. Also, a ring belonging to Abu Burdah ibn Abi Musa al-Ash'ari was found, attributed to Daniel, upon which were engraved two lions licking a man. It is narrated that Daniel engraved his image with the lions to commemorate his survival from the king who had wanted to kill him as an infant. These stories are classified as Isra'iliyyat (narrations from the Children of Israel) that do not contradict Islamic law.
