Is praying in the first row with the congregation an indication of piety and a feeling of superiority over those who prayed in the subsequent rows?

Piety resides in the heart, and its evidence is the outward and inward compliance with commands and avoidance of prohibitions. Praying in the first row in congregational prayer has great merit. However, it is not permissible for the worshiper to feel superior to others who pray in other rows, as this perception of superiority over others is forbidden.
