What is the authenticity of this Hadith narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the virtue of reciting the Qur’an with a specific number of verses, and is it permissible to act upon it, and should the recitation be during the night vigil prayer (Qiyam al-Layl) or a regular recitation?

The aforementioned hadith is very weak and not authentic. It has been weakened by a number of scholars, such as Al-Mundhiri, Ibn Kathir, and Al-Haythami. Al-Albani described it as "very denounced in its entirety" due to the presence of narrators accused of lying and fabrication in its chain of transmission.

While some of its sections may have an origin in other scattered hadiths, the hadith as a whole is fabricated and forged. It is not permissible to act upon it concerning the virtues of deeds due to its extreme weakness. However, reading the Qur'an generally carries the known reward.
