What is the ruling on prayer when experiencing intermittent gas discharge if one is experiencing hardship in cleansing oneself, and is it permissible to attend banquets and necessary and unnecessary visits while the gas continues to be discharged? And does the prayer become invalid if I pray while experiencing gas discharge and then it is discharged?
Praise be to Allah. We ask Allah for healing and well-being. For someone who suffers from passing wind, there is no obligation to wait in the toilet for a long time as this is a hardship. Ablution should be performed for each prayer after its time begins, and one may pray with it even if wind is passed after or during the prayer. It is permissible to combine the Dhuhr and Asr prayers and the Maghrib and Isha prayers by advancing or delaying according to convenience. There is no harm in leaving the house for necessity or visiting while committing to pray on time, even if combined.
