Should a girl leave her job for marriage, or should she remain in it, especially since her father refuses her marriage to anyone from outside their governorate, claiming that "a job in these times is security for a girl, not marriage"?

A father should not prevent his daughter from marrying on the pretext of her studies, as this is a dereliction of the trust of caring for her religious commitment. It is forbidden for a father to reject a suitable suitor whom his daughter desires, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If someone whose religious commitment and character you approve proposes to your daughter, then marry her to him; otherwise, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." Likewise, the daughter should prioritize a suitable marriage if she cannot combine it with a job. If the father refuses to marry her without a legitimate religious reason, he is considered an adil (one who unjustly prevents marriage), and she has the right to refer her case to the Sharia judge to marry her or order the father to do so, while emphasizing that the father's right to filial piety and kinship ties remains.
