Is it necessary for both spouses to be treated together to break the spell of separation, or is it sufficient for each of them to be treated separately, especially given the wife's long-standing jinn possession?

Ruqyah according to the Shari'ah is permissible for treating magic, because it consists of Qur'an and supplication. It is prescribed for those afflicted by magic and others. One should regularly recite the protective supplications and ask Allah for well-being morning and evening. Among the most important of these are reciting Surahs Al-Ikhlas and Al-Mu'awwidhatayn three times in the morning and evening, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Say: 'He is Allah, [Who is] One,' and the two Mu'awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) when you enter the evening and when you enter the morning, three times, they will suffice you against everything."

Also, reciting: "In the Name of Allah, with Whose Name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing," three times in the morning and evening.

Among the important supplications is: "O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and reassure my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me, and from behind me, and from my right, and from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being unexpectedly seized from beneath me."

There is no difference in treatment whether the spouses are treated together or separately.
