What are the books from which Sheikh Ibn Qasim drew for his commentary (Hashiyah) on "Ar-Rawd Al-Murabba'," and how can one benefit from the commentary given the overlap in the statements of the Imams?

The commentary Hashiyat ar-Rawd al-Murbi' by Sheikh Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn Qasim al-Asimi al-Najdi al-Hanbali is a great and beneficial commentary. He clarified his sources within it, as he stated in the introduction: "So I undertook the task of compiling this commentary, selecting from those commentaries, and from the lectures of our Sheikh Muhammad ibn Ibrahim Aal al-Sheikh, and from the books of the companions [of the Hanbali school], such as al-Tanqih, al-Mughni, al-Zarkashi, al-Sharh, al-Mubdi', al-Mattla', al-Muharrar, al-Furu', al-Tasheeh, al-Insaf, al-Iqna', and al-Muntaha, and their commentaries, and from the books of fatwas of Sheikh al-Islam and his student Ibn al-Qayyim, and Ibn Rajab, and from the books of Hadith and their commentaries, and the books of the people of other schools, such as al-Baghawi, al-Nawawi, Ibn Rushd, and others, striving to transmit scholarly consensus from those mentioned previously, and from Ibn Jarir, Ibn Kathir, Ibn Abd al-Barr, Ibn al-Mundhir, Ibn Hubayrah, and other meticulous scholars, searching for differing opinions considered, and striving to present evidence and reasoning, and to clarify the correct opinion."

The Sheikh, may Allah have mercy on him, often writes (end) after transmitting a text, so that the transmitted text does not get confused with his own words or another transmission. However, he might not attribute the benefit in many places. Perhaps the reason for this is that the Sheikh, may Allah have mercy on him, did not prepare a fair copy of the entire book; rather, he only prepared a fair copy of the quarter concerning acts of worship, and left the rest as a draft, being unable to complete the fair copy.

Sheikh Abdullah ibn Jibreen said: "He mostly transmits from Sheikh al-Islam and from the advanced books in this commentary, as is evident. However, may Allah have mercy on him, he took care of the first section, which is the acts of worship, fair-copied it, completed it, and added to it. As for the section from sales to the end of the book, he did not have time for it. He was afflicted with incapacitation and poor eyesight in his later years, so he did not have time to care for it and prepare a fair copy."
