Among the manifestations of sorcery on the bewitched are: distress, depression, and sadness; aversion to the remembrance of Allah; heart palpitations; involuntary trembling; nervousness and quick anger; excessive whisperings (waswas); lethargy and laziness; persistent headaches; nightmares and terrifying dreams; one spouse detesting the other; aversion to work; and intense emotional reactions, crying, and screaming upon the recitation of verses pertaining to sorcery.
