Is it permissible for me to pray at home because the nearest mosque does not have a permanent Imam, and a group of unlettered individuals compete for the Imamate, one of whom misrecites Al-Fatihah and is unaware of the rulings of prayer, knowing that I feel regretful for missing prayer in the mosque?

If the Imam does not recite Al-Fatihah well, with a melodic error (lahn) that changes the meaning, then it is not permissible to follow him according to the majority of scholars, unless the worshipper (ma'mum) is similar to him.

Therefore, you must lead them in prayer if your recitation is correct. Otherwise, go to another mosque. If you are unable to do that, then pray in your home.
