Is it true that angels do not attend a gathering where there is a woman with an uncovered head or one who is adorned, and what is the evidence for that?

There is no objection to a woman uncovering her head or displaying her adornments in front of her husband or mahrams (unmarriageable kin). However, the best is to cover oneself out of shyness before Allah and in honor of the guardian angels who do not leave a person except during answering the call of nature or during intercourse. Scholars have mentioned that the guardian angels do not leave a person even if they are naked. Furthermore, there are angels who circle houses, praying for mercy upon their inhabitants, and there is no text that prevents their entry if a woman uncovers her head. Nevertheless, it is preferable to refrain from doing so unless there is a need. As for uncovering in front of non-mahram men, there is no doubt that this invites the presence of devils and the departure of angels who attend gatherings of goodness.
