Is it permissible for a wife to visit her family without the permission of her husband, who has forsaken her after previous disputes?

A husband's abandonment of his wife has its Islamic regulations. The spouses should not persist in abandonment to avoid the intervention of Satan and the escalation of the problem. It is advised to make supplication, reconcile, and seek help from trustworthy advisors among the family. A husband should not prevent his wife from visiting her family unless there is a legitimate religious reason. The preponderant opinion is that he should permit her to visit them as is customary. If he does not permit her, she may still visit them unless he prohibits her for a legitimate reason. Nevertheless, it is not advisable to disobey him if she fears widening the discord. Patience and communication through other means are preferable.
