Is it permissible to supplicate for a long life and good deeds?

It is permissible for a Muslim to pray for themselves and for others for a long life and good deeds. This is among the best things one can pray for, as it is stated in the Hadith: "The best of people is he whose life is long and whose deeds are good," and "that you depart from this world with your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah." It is permissible to pray for all good in this world and the Hereafter.
