Is it permissible to take a loan from a bank to establish a project, where the capital consists of a grant, a personal contribution, and a loan at a rate of 6 per thousand, to be repaid over 5 years, given financial hardship and family responsibilities?

We ask Allah to relieve the questioner's distress, remove his affliction, and settle his debt. He should know that the means of sustenance are vast and the ways of lawful earning are numerous, and that Allah tests some of His servants to examine their patience. Allah Almighty says: "As for man, when his Lord tests him and honors him and blesses him, he says, 'My Lord has honored me.' But when He tests him and restricts his provision, he says, 'My Lord has humiliated me.'" He must be patient and exert all efforts to earn lawful sustenance. As for taking the aforementioned loan, it is not permissible because it is usury, and the situation has not reached the point of necessity that would permit taking it.
