What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a husband's insistence that his brother and his wife live with him and his wife in the marital home, despite the wife's refusal and the harm she experiences from that?

The husband is advised to fear Allah, treat his wife well, and provide for her. It is the wife's right to live in an independent dwelling that she does not share with any of the husband's relatives, due to the benefits therein, such as avoiding problems, enabling the wife to adorn herself for her husband, and staying away from religiously forbidden acts like unlawful seclusion with the husband's brother. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Beware of entering upon women." It was asked: "What about the in-law (Hamu)?" He replied: "The in-law (Hamu) is death." The wife has the right to refuse the presence of the husband's brother in the home, and if the husband insists on it, she may resort to the Sharia courts.
