Is it permissible for a nurse to read the Qur'an while at work with the possibility of interrupting the recitation, and is it permissible to take the Mus'haf to the workplace?

Reading the Qur'an is a great act of worship, and it is permissible to interrupt one's reading for a valid reason. It is permissible to take the Mus'haf (copy of the Qur'an) to work if there is assurance that no disbeliever will touch it, such as placing it in a locked drawer. However, if this assurance is not present, then it is forbidden to take it, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Do not travel with the Qur'an, for I fear that the enemy may lay hands on it." The prohibition against traveling with the Mus'haf to the land of disbelievers is out of fear that its sanctity might be violated. If this concern is absent, then there is no harm. Similarly, it is permissible for a Muslim entering with a guarantee of safety to bring the Mus'haf if the people keep their covenants.
