What is the ruling on a woman performing Hajj after she entered a state of Ihram, circumambulated (Tawaf), and performed the ritual walking (Sa'i) while she was menstruating, and then performed Umrah several times?

Purity from menstruation is not a condition for assuming ihram (ritual consecration) or for performing Sa'i (the ritual circumambulation between Safa and Marwah). However, purity is a condition for performing Tawaf (the ritual circumambulation around the Kaaba).

Therefore, a woman can assume ihram while menstruating. She should perform ghusl (ritual bath) and then secure her clothing [to prevent leakage]. Her Sa'i between Safa and Marwah is valid while she is menstruating. However, her Tawaf is not valid.

A woman who performed Tawaf while menstruating must repeat the Tawaf, as it is a pillar of Hajj. She cannot complete the second stage of exiting ihram (al-Tahallul al-Thani) without it, and her husband should not engage in marital relations with her until she performs the Tawaf.

She is sinful if she did so knowingly. However, there is no sin upon her if she did so out of ignorance, but she is still required to repeat the Tawaf in both cases.
