Is a person rewarded for generosity, and is the reward for showing generosity to a Muslim and a non-Muslim equal?

A person is rewarded for generosity, as it is one of the deeds Allah loves. It has been narrated in the Hadith: "Indeed, Allah Almighty is Generous, He loves generosity," and in another narration: "Indeed, Allah is Karim (Most Generous), He loves karam (generosity)." This includes spending on Muslims and disbelievers, due to the generality of the Hadith: "For every wet liver (living creature) there is a reward." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to give money to disbelievers out of a desire for their guidance. He once gave a man sheep between two mountains, and the man embraced Islam. He also gave a disbeliever seven sheep until he embraced Islam.
