Is it permissible for an Imam to call upon people from the pulpit to elect a specific person, exploiting his position?

The Imam and Khatib must inform people about the rules for selecting an individual for a position, and clarify the required qualities for it. The Islamic Sharia emphasizes strength and trustworthiness, as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, the best of those you can hire is the strong and the trustworthy." The strongest, most trustworthy, and most capable person for the responsibilities of the position should be chosen, while avoiding the mention of names and designation of individuals to prevent disputes and disagreements.
