Is it permissible to refuse to meet with the adopted maternal uncle who was given the grandfather's name?

Adoption is forbidden in Islam, as Allah the Almighty says: "Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah. But if you do not know their fathers, then they are your brothers in religion and your protectors." Adoption entails forbidden matters such as inheritance and intermingling (free mixing), therefore, it is forbidden for the wife's family to adopt this person and ascribe him to their lineage. This person is considered a stranger to the females of the family, so they must wear the hijab in his presence, and private seclusion with him is forbidden if there is no mahram relationship between them. It is the husband's duty to prevent his wife from being in seclusion with him or meeting him without proper Shar'i hijab.
