What is the ruling on modifying cars to increase their speed from 100 to 300 kilometers per hour, knowing that this is done for purposes such as sports competitions, desert trips for hunting, aesthetic adornment, or fame?

Boats are among Allah's blessings, to be used in His obedience. Extravagance in them is reprehensible and may even be forbidden. Extravagance includes choosing luxurious types, acquiring many without need, renewing them without cause, neglecting their maintenance, striving for an elaborate appearance, not using them properly, and increasing their engine power unnecessarily. The further removed the reason for the increase is from people's needs, the stronger the inclination towards prohibition.
