Is it forbidden to eat food prepared from gifts presented to the mother on the occasion of Mother's Day, knowing that the questioner does not celebrate this occasion?

It is permissible to accept permissible gifts on birthdays and Mother's Day, provided that this does not involve participation in an innovation (bid'ah). Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah permitted accepting gifts on Nowruz from polytheists. It was also reported that 'Aisha and Abu Barzah accepted gifts from the Magians on their holidays, as long as no animal was slaughtered specifically for that day. Therefore, benefiting from gifted appliances and food prepared with them is permissible.
