The contract between the company and the workers is a ju'alah (commission/reward-based) contract. The salary increases with increased production and decreases with reduced production. A number of scholars have affirmed the validity of this. Sheikh Al-Ruhaibani said: "If he said: 'Draw water for me from this well, and for every bucket, you get a date,' or he said: 'Whoever returns a slave of mine, for every slave, he gets a dirham,' or he said: 'Shoot this arrow, and if you hit the target, you get a dirham'; it is valid and binding, because it is a ju'alah, as it involves spending money for an action in which there is a legitimate interest."
