Hellfire contains torment by cold and torment by heat, as stated in the prophetic : "The Fire complained to its Lord, saying: 'O my Lord, some parts of me consume others.' So He permitted it two breaths: one in winter and one in summer. This is the greatest heat you experience and the greatest cold you experience." Al-Zamhareer refers to extreme cold.
