A Muslim must believe in the Last Day and what it entails of accountability, the Sirat (bridge), Paradise, and Hellfire. This includes belief in the perishability of this world and the coming of the Hour. The knowledge of the Hour is with Allah alone, as stated in His Almighty قول (saying): (They ask you about the Hour – when will be its appointed time? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly.") It has signs, such as the emergence of Gog and Magog, the Dajjal (Antichrist), the descent of Jesus (peace be upon him), the emergence of the Beast, and the rising of the sun from its west. As for the beliefs of Jews, Christians, and atheists regarding the end of the world, they are false, and a Muslim should not preoccupy himself with them.
