Is it permissible to sell merchandise labeled "Made in Germany" when it is manufactured in China, provided the customer is informed of its true origin if he asks?

It is not permissible to register a country other than the country of origin of the commodity. If this occurs, it is not permissible to sell it unless the buyer is informed of its true nature, whether they inquire or not. If the buyer is aware of the true nature of the commodity, there is no harm in selling it to them, as the deception is thus negated. However, if the buyer is a merchant, they should only sell it to someone whom they predominantly believe to be trustworthy and who will clarify the commodity's condition to those who purchase it for use.
