Why does a girl feel tightness in her chest and fear of Allah's wrath, despite her commitment to acts of worship and repentance from sins, along with her feeling that her supplications are no longer answered as they once were?

One must persist in supplication and not be hasty, for Allah answers His servant as long as he does not pray for a sin or for the severance of kinship ties, or become hasty. Hastiness is when the supplicant says, "I prayed, but I was not answered," thus despairing and abandoning supplication. One must also have a good opinion of Allah, for Allah Almighty says, "I am as My servant thinks of Me; so let him think of Me as he wishes." The answer to supplication is not limited to hastening the requested matter; rather, it may avert a calamity, or be stored for the Hereafter. Indeed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There is no Muslim who supplicates with a supplication that contains no sin or severance of kinship ties, except that Allah will give him one of three things: either He will hasten his supplication for him, or He will store it for him in the Hereafter, or He will avert from him an evil equivalent to it." And the best of sinners are those who repent.
