Is it permissible to look at pictures of women on the internet with the intention of finding flaws in them in order to appreciate one's wife?

It is not permissible for a man to follow and stare at women's pictures on the internet under the pretext of knowing their flaws, for this is from the deception of Satan. The best way is to lower one's gaze from the forbidden, in compliance with Allah's command, glorified be He, when He says: "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze." Indeed, there is religious and worldly harm in this.
