What are the proofs of the eloquence of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?

The eloquence and rhetoric of the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, are matters that require no proof. He is the most eloquent of all Arabs; indeed, the most eloquent of all God's creation, owing to the comprehensive words (jawami' al-kalim) bestowed upon him, with which he expresses profound meanings in simple terms. He also coined phrases that were unheard of before him, such as: "He died a natural death," "The battle raged," and "A believer is not stung from the same hole twice."
