What is the ruling on breaking an oath before puberty, and on one who doubts his age of puberty at the time of breaking the oath, and is puberty a condition for breaking an oath?

The oath of a child is not binding because the pen is lifted from him. In this ruling, there is no difference between a discerning child and an undiscerning child. Whoever doubts whether he was an adult when he broke his oath or not, is considered not to have been an adult, and nothing is binding upon him, because the original state remains as it was, and certainty is not removed by doubt.
