Is the Hadith "Whoever awakes at night" specific to those who wake up suddenly, or does it include those who are awoken by an alarm clock to attain its virtue?

The aforementioned Hadith is authentic, narrated by Al-Bukhari and others, and its wording is: "Whoever awakes at night and says: 'None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He is over all things competent. All praise is to Allah, and glory is to Allah, and none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and Allah is the greatest, and there is no might nor power except with Allah,' then says: 'O Allah, forgive me,' or supplicates, his supplication will be answered. And if he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted." The meaning of "ta'aarra" is to wake up or become alert. The apparent meaning of the Hadith is that if one wakes up by any means and remembers Allah the Almighty and supplicates, he falls under the generality of this Hadith.
