في أي سنة حُرم التبني؟
Adoption was forbidden in the fifth or fourth year of the Hijra, which was the year the Battle of Al-Ahzab (the Confederates) took place and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married Zaynab bint Jahsh, may Allah be pleased with her. When the Prophet married her, the hypocrites said: "Muhammad married his son's wife." So, verses were revealed to annul adoption, such as Allah Almighty's saying: "Muhammad is not the father of any of your men" and "So when Zayd had no longer any need for her, We married her to you" and "Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah." Al-Baghawi, Ibn Kathir, Ibn Ashour, and Ibn Al-Qayyim all confirmed that the prohibition of adoption and the occurrence of the Battle of Al-Ahzab were in that period.
