What is the ruling on a man purchasing a wristwatch that contains white gold in its outer frame and hands, in addition to a portion of pure gold in its mechanism, if the gold is a تابع (subordinate/secondary) and not an أصل (primary/main component)?

If white gold is platinum, then there is no harm in men wearing it. However, if it is yellow gold that has been treated to become white, then its ruling is the same as yellow gold, which is forbidden for men. Some scholars permit a small amount of gold that is secondary, such as tiny gold parts in a watch, provided its purchase is not extravagant. Nevertheless, it is better and more cautious to avoid it to steer clear of disagreement.
