The answer

The Quran will be a proof against a person if he turns away from it and does not obey its commands or avoid its prohibitions, whether he memorizes it or not. The one who carries the Quran is either a gainer or a loser; if he acts upon it, it will be a proof for him, and if he does not act upon it, it will be a proof against him. On the Day of Resurrection, the Zabaniyah (angels of punishment) will be quicker to those who carry the Quran but disobey Allah after reciting it. And there is one who recites the Quran while the Quran curses him.
