Is it permissible to open an account in a bank that charges a commission on depositing money?

The ruling on opening bank accounts has been clarified in previous fatwas. As for taking the aforementioned commission, it is permissible in principle, provided that the bank adheres to the provisions of Islamic Sharia in its dealings, including the taking of commissions.
