Allah made the sun and the moon as signs so that creation may ponder His greatness and believe in Him. However, many are heedless of these signs. Allah condemns the polytheists for their false claims made without knowledge or proof. And whoever claims that the moon was formed by the collision of a planet with the Earth is asserting knowledge of the unseen without evidence, relying on hypothetical theories that constantly change. This statement has no proof and contradicts the apparent verses of the Holy Quran, which indicate the creation of each of them individually. Even if this hypothesis were true, it does not negate Allah's power to create and form it. What aligns with the truth is accepted, what contradicts it is rejected, and what is a hypothesis without proof is not accepted. Islam does not contradict established scientific facts.
