Is it permissible to supplicate with "My Lord, grant me from Your presence an heir who will inherit from me and inherit from the family of (my family), and make him, my Lord, pleasing," following the example of the Prophet Zechariah?

1. Allah Almighty's saying: "He said, 'My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.'" (Aal-Imran: 38).

2. Allah Almighty's saying: "And [mention] Zechariah, when He called to his Lord, 'My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while You are the best of inheritors.'" (Al-Anbiya: 89).

Supplication is broad, and one may supplicate with whatever is easy and aligns with the desired purpose.
