What is the ruling on dedicating a specific supplication for pregnancy that includes praising Allah by His Most Beautiful Names and Attributes and supplicating for righteous offspring?

Supplication (Du'a) is among the most sublime acts of worship. A servant must turn to their Lord in all matters that concern them, both in this world and the hereafter. The best way for a servant to strive in this regard is to supplicate with comprehensive words, as found in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace be upon him). As for inventing specific supplications for certain situations and believing that they will fulfill one's desires, and guiding people to adhere to them as one would adhere to legitimate litanies: this constitutes legislating in Allah's religion what He has not permitted. It also diverts one from the legitimate supplications established by texts. Furthermore, the Prophetic supplications and remembrances are the best that one can seek. Any other remembrances may be forbidden, disliked, or involve polytheism (shirk). Therefore, it is not permissible for anyone to institute for people a type of remembrance or supplication that is not legislated and make it a regular act of worship; rather, this is an innovation in religion that Allah has not permitted.
