Is it obligatory for a woman who prays sitting due to joint pain to place a pillow or similar object to prostrate on?

If a woman is unable to stand, she prays sitting cross-legged and gestures for bowing (rukūʿ). Then, if she is able to prostrate, she prostrates; otherwise, she gestures with her head for prostration, lowering it more than for bowing. There is nothing in the Sunnah about placing a pillow or anything else to prostrate upon; rather, this is closer to being disliked, as it is a form of extremism and rigidity.
