What is the ruling on the mother not dividing the proceeds of the inheritance among the heirs, and should the daughter demand her right despite the possibility of estrangement from her mother, or should she relinquish it?

Daughters have the right to claim their share of their father's inheritance, a right ordained by Allah the Almighty. As soon as the father passes away, all his possessions become the right of the heirs after the settlement of debts and the execution of bequests. The mother is not permitted to prevent her daughters from inheriting unless they consent to it. She should be advised and reminded of the ruling of Islamic law. If she insists, they have the right to take the matter to the Sharia court, while still being obligated to treat her with kindness and not mistreat her. Waiving their share to please their mother is better and they will be rewarded for it.
