What is the ruling on working for a contracting company that will build a cinema, knowing that there is no other work available?

Cinema, in its usual form, is not free of unlawful elements; therefore, it is not permissible to assist in its construction or otherwise. As for working in construction companies that undertake absolute (permissible and impermissible) projects, there is no objection to it. However, if the company accepts a prohibited project, such as building a cinema, then it is not permissible to work specifically on that project.
