What is the ruling on eating fruits from trees planted in a graveyard and drinking water flowing from it?

There is no harm in eating fruits grown in a cemetery or drinking water that springs from it, contrary to those who disliked it fearing its mixture with impurity. For when impurity transforms into earth, its ruling ceases. This is supported by the fact that the mosque of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was a graveyard for polytheists, and it was excavated and made into a mosque, which indicates the purity of its soil. If the soil is pure, then what grows or springs from it is pure.
