Is it permissible for parents to seize or dispose of their daughter's salary?

A mature and independent child has control over their wealth and disposes of it as they see fit, and their parents have no authority over them. If a daughter is wealthy and her parents are poor, she is obligated to provide for them. If she refuses, she is considered disobedient.

The majority of scholars hold that parents do not have the right to take anything from their child's wealth without their consent, except in cases of need.

However, the Hanbalis are of the opinion that a father may take from his child's wealth even without need, provided that it does not harm the child and that the money is not given to another child.

The daughter must be dutiful to her parents and treat them with kindness. If they ask her for something from her wealth, it is preferable for her to give them what does not cause her harm.
